Auguste Piccard Award

The Auguste Piccard Award celebrates the pioneering spirit of the Swiss physicist, inventor, and explorer, Auguste Antoine Piccard (28 January 1884 – 24 March 1962). Known for his groundbreaking hydrogen balloon flights, Piccard was the first person to enter the Stratosphere.
